Executive Personal Assistant (PA)

LBA is embarking on an exciting development period, looking ultimately at increasing its capacity to 7 million passengers, through major developments to its terminal and airside infrastructure. To help us deliver this growth, we are looking for an experienced Executive Personal Assistant to provide high level / confidential support to the CEO and Executive Team of the airport.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will be an established Executive PA with superb organisational skills and the ability to provide an exceptional, dynamic and highly efficient service to an Executive team and Board. 

Day to day tasks include:

  • Confidential PA support for the CEO,  Executive Team and Board;
  • Be responsible for administration / arrangements of the monthly Board process / minutes;
  • Complex, demanding and ever changing diary management;
  • Preparation of auditable minutes, reports and presentations;
  • Organisation of meetings, events, corporate hospitality and travel;
  • Multiple stakeholder management.

Experience and skills required:

  • A proven track record of delivering an Executive PA service in an ever changing and fast paced environment;

Finance Assistant

Full-time, permanent, 37 hours per week

Salary £16,000 to £20,000 depending on experience

Role Purpose

This role will contribute to the day to day financial administration of the organisation. This will involve providing support with various tasks including sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and passenger data.

Responsibilities

Sales Ledger

  • Preparation of sales invoices, ensuring income is promptly invoiced in accordance with contractual terms. Work with other departments as required to ensure information required to facilitate billing is obtained in a timely manner.
  • Contact debtors on a weekly basis to ensure receipt of current invoices & pro-actively review and resolve any queries before invoice due date. Issue statements via email on a regular basis, and actively contact debtors to ensure payments are received within agreed terms.
  • Production of a weekly and month end aged debt report, including provision of an informed review of individual debtor account status and any relevant information to discuss with FC on a weekly basis.

Purchase Ledger

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct VAT treatment and that invoices are fully approved in accordance with the delegated authority matrix.
  • Liaise with department managers and suppliers to resolve account and invoice queries.
  • Reconcile and allocate direct debit accounts, resolving any queries and missing invoices.
  • Creation of BACS payment runs and ad-hoc payments.
  • Regular review of aged creditors and pro-actively resolve any associated queries.

Bank / Cash

  • Reconciliation of cash and credit card payment summaries from in-house retail units and car parks against banking receipts, ensuring all required information is available ahead of month end.
  • Post and reconcile daily bank statements, produce bank reconciliation report for sign off by line manager.

Passenger / Airline Data

  • Entering daily passenger information & balancing to handling agent’s stats, working with handling agents and Air Traffic Control to resolve queries with passenger numbers and airline movements. 
  • Produce weekly passenger numbers for management accountant in accordance with agreed deadlines.
  • Review all aviation related charges to ensure they are applied in accordance with current contracts, and ensure any changes are authorised by the FC prior to implementation.
  • Calculate weekly movement charges and raise the weekly billing no later than Tuesday morning, along with any required credit notes.
  • Ensure all airline insurance certificates are received & liaise annually with airlines to obtain relevant documents.

General

  • Ensure VAT codes are correctly applied to sales and purchase invoices and all VAT procedures are followed in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
  • Ensure all internal controls/audit procedures are correctly applied in accordance with LBA policies and procedures.
  • Providing assistance in the preparation for the annual audit.
  • Processing staff expense claims ensuring compliance with expense policy.

Key Requirements

Media & Public Affairs Executive

Role Purpose

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading regional airports. Based at Leeds Bradford Airport, this role is well suited to a passionate, communications minded individual who is ready to reach new heights. The ideal candidate will be well versed in implementing a Public Affairs and Communications strategy, with a strong track record of achieving business objectives by appropriately applying their skills and experience.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop an understanding and empathy with the business aims and objectives of Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) and to build the profile of the airport.
  • To support the Executive and Senior Leadership Team in the overall delivery of LBA’s marketing & communications strategy.
  • Developing excellent relationships with print, broadcast and digital media journalists to support the achievement of the airport’s external communications objectives
  • To implement and enforce LBA brand policy.
  • Draft articles and press releases, monitor media coverage and lead on all external media

Aviation Security Officers - Part Time

Fixed Term Vacancies - Part time - £8,573.38 per annum - working 21 hours per week

To support the future growth of the Airport, LBA™ is now recruiting for a number of part time & full time Security Officers who can deliver an excellent customer experience, whilst maintaining exceptionally high standards.

Applicants should be flexible and available for shift work, which includes early morning start times, on a roster pattern to suit the needs of the business. Covering the following duties: 

  • Documentation checks 
  • Passenger preparation for the security process and loading of bags in preparation for x-ray screening 
  • X-ray screening duties, to screen passengers belongings by the use of x-ray equipment 
  • Searching of passengers and their luggage 
  • Patrol and guarding duties Full induction training will be delivered to all successful applicants. 

 Applicant competencies required are: 

  • Fluent English language capability, both written and spoken is essential.

Special Assistance - Passenger Service Assistant

Various flexible summer contracts available

Minimum 17.5 hours per week, £8.21 per hour 

Role Purpose

To assist Passengers with Reduced Mobility on their entire journey through the airport from their designated arrival point. To present passengers through Security processes, assisting with their hand luggage & baggage, ensuring a seamless, customer focused service at all times. To act as a Banks person, marshalling vehicles on/off aircraft and to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others who may be associated by your work activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring team work at all times, provide a customer focused service to all passengers, team members and business partners, reflecting a positive image on yours and the company’s service delivery. 
  • Responsible for adhering to and exceeding set service level agreements of passenger assistance, with our airline partners. Complete job allocation documents or use a handheld device (PDA) 
  • Assisting the company in carrying out any other reasonable duties it feels necessary to further the aims of the business and passenger experience. 
  • Competently carry out your duties and responsibilities aligned to the specialised training delivered to the role. 
  • Take responsibility for reviewing safe systems of work prior to the commencement of the work activity. Acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for safety. 
  • In accordance with company procedures, raise, escalate and record safety issues ie; near misses. 
  • Assist in the marshalling of vehicles operating on the apron associated to the delivery of the PRM service. 
  • To ensure wheelchairs are collected from around the Terminals and car parks etc, and placed at designated storage areas both Airside and Landside.

Meet and Greet Control Centre Assistant

Meet and Greet Control Centre Assistant, operates on a shift pattern of x4 earlies 0500hrs-1400hrs followed by 2 days rest, then x4 lates 1400hrs – 2300hrs followed by 2 days rest and repeat.

Temp contract until 31st October, 42 hours per week, £8.21 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver services to the Control Centre during peak times ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of CCTV Camera Room operations and Car Park Management systems, whilst delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Support the services to Meet & Greet functions; ensuring excellent customer service is delivered
  • Move a variety of customer vehicles from when they arrive into storage and move them back in time for when the customer returns

Temporary Viking Airport Car Park Jockey

£8.21, 24.5 hours per week

This is a challenging and exciting role, in which no two days are ever the same. You will work on a shift pattern, across 24 hours a day/7 days a week, therefore flexibility is key.

Duties

  • Greeting and checking-in of customers as they arrive at the Car Park reception
  • Moving and storing a variety of customer vehicles to ensure that they are stored in line with protocol
  • Ensure customer vehicles are available on the correct date and time when the customer returns
  • Transportation of customers to/from the terminal building by bus (PSV licence not required)
  • Providing an excellent customer service to all arriving and departing customers

Key Requirements

  • Must possess excellent organisational skills
  • Hold a clean Driver’s Licence and no less than 3 years driving experience
  • A friendly manner, a welcoming smile and excellent customer service

Service Yard Compliance Co-ordinator

Competitive Salary Permanent, Part-Time (35 hours)

To help us to continue to deliver a safe environment for all we are looking to recruit an individual experienced in compliance and maintaining standards, to ensure safety is given the highest priority in our service yard, waste management processes and back of house areas. These areas must be maintained in a manner that is compliant with statutory legislation, site rules and the terms and conditions set out in the LBA environmental policies.

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Risk Manager, you will be an enthusiastic individual, passionate about maintaining established standards and enforcing site rules. You will have good experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders and be able to demonstrate adherence to health and safety standards.  

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure adequate management of the service yard and back-of-house areas to minimise associated risks and to maintain adequate standards for these areas.

The role will be on a 4-on, 2-off shift pattern between the hours of 6am-10pm.

Key Objectives

  • Ensuring Service Yard users comply with the health and safety policy and site rules at all times
  • Co-ordinate deliveries and waste collections, ensuring vehicles are managed appropriate to the confines of the area.
  • To act as liaison between the relevant departments, contractors and other relevant parties in all operational and general health & safety and environmental issues.
  • Co-ordinate the movement of personnel in the area in the event of Terminal evacuations and Emergency events
  • Ensuring that all accidents, near misses and incidents are reported on SIR in a timely fashion.
  • Carryout recorded inspections and log faults for all areas
  • To provide advice/guidance, assistance and technical help in all aspects relating to service yard and back of house operations
  • Ensuring all parties keep all areas clean and tidy
  • Issue non-compliance notices to any party not adhering to site rules
  • Answering queries and assisting members of the public
  • Ensuring all service yard users comply with LBA's Waste Policy and Waste Management Protocol.
  • Ensuring any spillages are managed and reported on the LBA Safety Incident Reporting System (SIR).
  • Any other duties deemed as reasonable within the scope of the job role
